Abstract: This paper presents a 60 GHz TX/RX chipset in 40 nm CMOS technology flip-chip mounted on a multilayer organic package with integrated phased-array antennas. The TX/RX chips perform phase shifting of 4 antenna paths in analog baseband. Short range (< 5 m) gigabit communication is proven by measurement of a wireless link between TX and RX modules.
