The GHz-THz laboratory has been founded in 1999 and is now a centre of excellence in GHz-THz science in multidisciplinary domains and is equipped with following state-of-the art measurement infrastructure:
- a portable vector network analyser covering the MHz to 40 GHz range
- 2- and a 4-port benchtop vector network analyser covering the following basic bands
- kHz range till the 70 GHz range
- 40 GHz range till the 110 GHz range
- and a full set of frequency extenders covering the 40 to 750 GHz range
- Elmika G4403E BWO source, 75-110 GHz.
- Spectrum analyser up to 26.5 GHz with external mixer ports
- Mm-wave narrow-band stand-alone measurement prototype systems around 10 and 60 GHz
- Sampling Oscilloscope: 2 channels, +20 GHz BW, 50 MB/s sampling rate
- NF Electronic Instruments lI 5640 Digital Lock-in Amplifier
- Precision mechanics (nm positioning); vibration isolation table, optical tables and plates, multiple linear and rotational actuation stages and controllers, bread boards, rails
- NI-measurement and control systems: PXI-1000 rail, PXI-8331, PXI-4472, Temp./Voltage PXI-4351, timing I/O PXI-6602, BNC-2121
- Temperature and humidity controlled measurement environments
