|
Frederik Temmermans obtained the Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2006, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He obtained his PhD in Engineering at the the Department of Electronics and Informatics (ETRO) in 2014. His research mainly focuses on medical imaging and interoperable image search. He has been involved in several research projects in the medical, mobile and cultural domains. Frederik is an active member of the JPEG standardization committee (ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29/WG1) since 2006 and founder of VUB spinoff company Universum Digitalis.
